1. When is the best time to find out more about having my wedding dress designed and made to measure for 2019?

2. Supposing I don't like it when it's finished?
This will never happen because at each stage of the making process you are involved and have complete control. I ALWAYS check with you the Bride first to make sure you are happy before we move on to the next stage. I do not come out of my sewing room with a completed dress..............as they say on Blue Peter "With one I made earlier!" You and I will be a team and we will work closely together as your dream dress becomes a reality!
3. What is the difference between a made to measure dress and buying from a bridal shop?
Rather than the sales assistant offering you something that they happen to have on the rack, a made to measure dress provides you with the opportunity to have a Wedding Dress that you love everything about…..Front view, back view and everything in between!
You will remember feeling good about the journey of seeing your wedding dress come together piece by piece and better yet, custom made especially for you!
If you’re shorter, taller, larger, or smaller than the average person you might struggle to buy a wedding dress in the shop that is going to fit.
4. Is having your wedding dress made a lot more expensive?
It’s amazing how affordable this option can be.
When I see a Bride for alterations, one of the most common questions I get asked is "I never thought about having my dress made", I ask why, and they usually say, "I thought it would be too expensive”.
However, this is not the case. All wedding dresses made will vary in price and tend to be between £600 & £900 + fabrics … and can be paid in stages throughout the dress making process.
5. What happens if I need alterations after the dress has been made?
There are several fittings throughout the process to ensure the dress is the perfect fit. Fittings take place over the months leading up to the big day, so this means no added alteration costs.
With having an off the peg dress from a bridal shop, you have to order many months in advance. They take your measurements and order the nearest dress size, usually going by the biggest part of your figure. This is why most ready-made gowns and dresses need alterations.
6. Where and when do I source my accessories and jewellery that complement the dress?
To complete your look, it’s important the accessory selection is perfect. Picking out the right veil, tiara, shoes, jewellery etc.… can be equally as important as the dress selection. You need to try on with your actual dress to ensure the right choices are made.
